Joanna was born in Heraklion, she began her musical studies at the Hellenic Conservatory of Heraklion and completed them in Athens, at the Athenaeum Conservatory “Maria Callas”.

For a number of years, she was a member of the Orchestra “Guitarists of the Athenaeum”, where she participated in festivals in Greece and abroad, at the Music Mornings of the 3rd Program, at the Concert Hall etc.

Joanna continued her studies at the City University of London U.K., where she was awarded the Master’s Degree “Master of Arts in Arts Management”.

She worked for a number of years for the Ministry of Education (Ministry of Education) as the head of the Music Competitions   in the department of the Panhellenic Pupils   Artistic Competitions. Furthermore, she activated the Cultural Organization of the Prefecture of Samos. She planned the organization of the Cultural Olympiad in the Municipality of Philippi, in collaboration with the Drama Prefecture of Drama, Kavala, Xanthi.

She was assigned by the Greek Parliament the artistic direction of the Greek representation at the Youth Festival “The Children and Youth Festival” of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Member – States / Golden Ferry in Sochi, Russia.

She was a member of the organizing committee at the First Euro-Mediterranean Cultural Meeting of Crete.

She undertook organizing  poetry conferences on the subject of “Sappho” and musicology conferences on the subject of “Terpandros” in Lesvos, in collaboration with the Municipality of Eressos Antissis.

Joanna shows, among other things, a special interest in the relationship between music and psychology, especially when it involves music therapy, introduced by the Professor of Psychiatry and Neurology Jacqueline-Vereupailles, at the Sorbonne University. She also expands this interest by continuing her postgraduate studies in Government Sciences ( Cybernetic Sciences).

Since 2013, she lives in Heraklion, Crete where in collaboration with the Region of Crete, the Municipality of Heraklion, the Ephorate of Antiquities of Heraklion, the Society of Cretan & Historical Studies, the Athens State Orchestra, she is active in   designing, organizing and coordinating cultural events. Such cultural events are the following  : Music Trilogies for the world day of monuments & sites / Heraklion Piano Festival / Soul Art Game / Festival “Art on the Road” / “The flute project” Music & educational program etc.

Joanna is also in collaboration with the Region of Crete and the president of the Historical Music Association “Apollo”.
