The 1st Music Trilogy was designed in 2017 on the occasion of the International Day of Monuments and Sites celebration, for the restored and renovated Venetian Rocca a Mare Fortress and the restored Dominican Church of Saint Peter.
The proposal was embraced by the Region of Crete from the very beginning and was materialised after being co-organised by the local authorities and specifically the Holy Archdiocese of Crete, the Region of Crete – Regional Unit of Heraklion, the Ephorate of Antiquities of Heraklion and the Municipality of Heraklion.
An effort to raise public awareness about the Monuments and their integration into the modern local social and cultural life. Artists and performers outdid themselves and excited the audience, which entered the place with admirable respect, as it should befit the place, time and the music art!
